How important is representing diversity across performing arts and entertainment?

Experts discuss the representation of black, Asian and ethnic minority people on TV and across all performing arts media as BSkyB announces its aim to improve diversity across its entertainment channels.

 

 

The panel, including Dr Michael Pearce, Lecturer in Socially Engaged Theatre, Rioch Edwards-Brown, TV Researcher, Dasha Ilic, Media Diversity Institute and Yomi Adegoki, Blogger and Writer, discuss the broader issue of black, Asian and ethnic minority people in the media and how their representation could be improved.

 

Here the panel are discussing the fact that there are more opportunities in America for ethnic minorities in media.
