Firefighters tackling large waste fire in Rainham
5th August 2014

Firefighters are still tacking a large fire at a recycling plant in Rainham.

Residents are being advised to close their windows and doors as 100 tonnes of household waste is still burning at the site in Creek Way.

The fire has caused huge plumes of black smoke to blanket parts of Havering.

Around 12 fire engines and 80 firefighters have been fighting the blaze overnight.
