Pets really are a wonderful addition to the family but for those with work or social commitments, dogs can get lonely, mischievous and can even experience separation anxiety.

For those who don't have the time but do have the money to spend on their beloved pets, services like dog day care can be a solution. 

Sal Karava and Chris Hudson, animal welfare assistants at Halo Dogs, have some advice for prospective dog owners in the city.
