Investigation launched after shootout between NCA and civilians

Three men have been arrested after a shootout with police in a street in Tottenham. 

Officers from the National Crime Agency (NCA) fired shots after being shot at in West Green Road shortly before 11pm on Friday. 

A 24-year-old man and a 22-year-old man were arrested at the scene by NCA officers before being taken to a north London police station. 

They have been charged with attempted murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life in relation to the shootout. 

A 44-year-old man was also arrested a short time later from Metropolitan Police Service officers, who were called to the scene at 10.50pm. 

He has been charged with possession of an offensive weapon. 

No injuries were reported. 

Detectives from Trident are now leading an investigation into the shooting and the Independent Police Complaints Commission have been informed.
