Khat set to become class C drug

Somali traders of the drug, Khat, have been urged to switch to other professions as a new ban of the substance comes into effect tomorrow. 

The herbal stimulant will become a class C drug, and has already been outlawed in other European countries.

The drug has been chewed for centuries in Somalia, Ethiopia and Yemen and has remained popular with communities in London.
