Man jailed for stealing £150,000 worth of designer handbags
5th August 2014

A 31-year-old man has been jailed for stealing £150,000 pounds worth of designer handbags from a Chelsea boutique.

Christopher Gibbs was part of a masked gang who raided the Designer Exchange in May.  The court heard how he and two others stole Hermes, Chanel and Louis Vuitton bags.

Staff were eventually able to set off an alarm which filled the shop with smoke, forcing the trio to flee.
