CCTV of moment man glasses woman for ignoring him in City bar
6th June 2014

Dramatic footage shows the moment a woman has a glass thrown in her face after ignoring a man in a city bar.

The 20-year-old victim was enjoying a drink with a friend inside B@1 in Brushfield Street, Spitalfields when they met a group of men.

At about 11pm one of the men approached the women, who were chatting, but they paid little attention to him.

A City of London Police spokesman said the man “became agitated” as he tried to get their attention.

“He then lashed out and threw both his drinks at the women, hitting one of them in the face with a glass in a seemingly unprovoked attack,” he said.

The man is described as white, slim build with short dark hair, wearing a light coloured shirt and suit with black shoes.

Anyone who recognises the man or witnessed the attack on Wednesday April 2 is asked to contact DC James Harris from the City of London Police on 0207 601 2222 or emailjames.harris1@city-of-london.pnn.police.uk.
