Surrey beaten by Eagles

The Essex Eagles have beaten Surrey by five wickets at the Kia Oval in the Natwest T20 Blast. Batting first Surrey set a target of 152 with Jason Roy making 57. But Ryan ten Doeschate guided his side over the winning line with seven balls to spare as he finished unbeaten on 43. Kevin Pietersen came into the starting XI and the visitors won the toss and decided to bowl. Roy and Hashim Amla gave Surrey a solid start and Roy lit up the evening with a huge six in the 2nd over and followed that up with a couple of handsome boundaries.
