Too much focus is being put on young people gaining a degree, a new report claims. 

More emphasis should be put on encouraging school leavers to take up vocational courses otherwise Britain’s economy will be unable to compete globally. 

The Institute of Public Policy Research says over the next decade a large number of jobs will be in industries that rely on practical education and qualifications. 

Jan Hodges from the education charity EDGE explains more.
