Two more arrests made in connection with Dagenham murder

A murder investigation into the stabbing of a 25-year-old in Dagenham has seen two more people arrested. 

Ashley Latty, from Leyton, was knifed outside The Beaver Centre in Selinas Lane in the early hours of Sunday, May 18. 

He was treated at an east London hospital for his injuries but died later the same morning. 

A post mortem examination confirmed the cause of death was multiple stab wounds.

Detectives has now arrested two more people in connection with the killing. 

A 25-year-old man was arrested yesterday on suspicion of murder. A 24-year-old woman was also arrested on the same day on suspicion of assisting an offender. 

Both were taken to an east London police station where they remain in custody.

Two men have been charged with murder. Nana Oppong, 34, of no fixed abode and Adam Penny, 23, of Whitechapel appeared at the Old Bailey on Thursday and have been remanded in custody.
