A 10 year old’s plan o tackle homelessness in Ilford

A new 5 million pound homeless centre was opened in East London February aimed at saving lives across that part of the capital. Figures suggest as many as 15 rough sleepers have died on the streets of Ilford in the last three years. The new shelter, run by the Salvation Army and Redbridge Council, was the brainchild of ten year old Malachi Justin who began fundraising for the project at the age of just 5… Malachi was among the guests of honour as the doors opened.
