Bringing the Lambeth Boys back together

The Youth Centre, Alford House, in Kennington is celebrating 70 years since it moved to the area.

If the social club sounds familiar it’s because it played host to the 1959 film ‘We Are the Lambeth Boys’.

The well-known film documented what life was like for young people in the area and the audio has even appeared in a Morrissey song.

For the anniversary, club manager Tim Sanders is welcoming old and new faces, including John Kent, who appeared in the documentary 60 years ago.
