The comedian with a double life

Most comedians and actors when they are starting out – trying to make it in the arts have to work a second job to keep themselves afloat, before their big break. Usually that means working shifts in a pub.

Kirsty Mann however has written her first full comedy show about her double life for the last ten years working as doctor in the NHS. Keeping it from friends, family and colleagues both in the hospital and back stage, in her play Skeletons, Kirsty is finally spilling the beans in an award winning show about balancing the two jobs.

James Dickman spoke to her in the studio to discuss more.
