Ticket touting - how much would you pay?
17th September 2014

Individual online ticket touts are harvesting and reselling up to three-million pounds worth of tickets a year.

Criminal gangs and individuals are using highly sophisticated computer software to buy hundreds of tickets using multiple credit cards all at the same time.

Consequently genuine ticket-hunters are unable to buy them at face value and are then forced to pay huge sums of money if they want to attend a concert, or sporting event for example.

It is legal to resell a ticket online at the moment, but MPs are putting pressure on secondary ticketing websites to change regulations and prevent the touts from continuing to take advantage of the current system.
