24-hour tube service to run from September 2015
24th September 2014

London Underground's long awaited 24-hour service has been given an official start date of September 12, 2015.

The services will start running in the early hours of September 12 on the Jubilee, Victoria and most of the Piccadilly, Central and Northern lines.

There are expected to be six trains per hour provided by the night service.

The launch will come less than a week before the start of the 2015 Rugby World Cup, which has three London venues in Twickenham, Wembley and the Olympic Stadium.

Organisers are hoping the service will provide additional options for travelling fans.
