Sir Tim Berners Lee, inventor of the Internet, has become Freeman of the City of London

The 59-year-old, who was born in southwest-London, will join the ranks of leading world figures including Lord Nelson, Winston Churchill, Florence Nightingale, Princess Diana, Nelson Mandela and Archbishop Desmond Tutu.
