The Mayor of London has caused controversy after being picked as the Tory parliamentary candidate for Uxbridge. 

But Boris Johnson has defended his position saying there is no reason he can’t do both jobs.

He told Power Lunch there will be a ‘vanishingly’ few number of occasions during the year the two jobs cross over where there will be a conflict of interest. 

Honesty and Integrity

Mr Johnson has been accused of dishonesty after claiming in May 2012 that it was ‘inconceivable’ he would be mayor and MP at the same time.
