The Evening Standard's 'Power 1000' names the thousand most influential Londoners.

This year, chancellor George Osborne was named number one. 

Editor of the Evening Standard, Sarah Sands, explained to London Go why she things George Osborne just 'gets' London, how his interest in the arts puts him head and shoulders above his peers in the cabinet and why his influence far exceeds that of Prime Minister David Cameron. 

Ms Sands also told us why Prince George - last year's number one - was nowhere to be seen on the list in 2014.
