Cybercrime didn't disappear all those years ago with rumours of the millennium bug. Unfortunately, it can affect anyone and even the most tech-savvy of us can be at risk. 

New figures suggest over half the population have been hit by cybercrime. Unfortunately, authorities have little idea of how big the problem really is and consequently, measures to resolve the risk are difficult to implement. 

Luke Garratt spoke to Charlotte Ashton, a victim of cybercrime, about the impact of her experience of online fraud.


Evening Standard political correspondent Joe Watts explains the measures being taken to tackle cybercrime.
