Occupy London return to Parliament after scuffles and arrests
22nd October 2014

Protesters from Occupy London will return to Parliament Square today after an ugly scene of protests and arrests yesterday.

Senior Green Party politician Jenny Jones was arrested briefly along with 14 other demonstrators for “obstructing” police.

Ms Jones already sits on a watchdog that follows the work of Scotland Yard, and went to the protest to observe the police’s techniques after complaints of ‘heavy-handedness.’

She is set to give an address to the protesters on policing and civil liberties tomorrow.

Occupy London protesters say they want to 'challenge the corrupt and unrepresentative system'.
