London weekend guide: Fury, Lady Gaga, Grayson Perry and a Kinks musical
24th October 2014

It’s not a great week for film, according to the Evening Standard’s going out Editor Sarah Cohen.

But among her picks is Fury – Brad Pitt’s latest film set during the Second World War. A battle-hardened army sergeant commands a tank and its crew on a deadly mission behind enemy line.

An alternative film to see this weekend is Serena starring Bradley Cooper and Jennifer Lawrence. The story follows a couple of newlyweds running a timber business in 1930s North Carolina.

Lady Gaga returns to the capital with the artRave Ball at the O2.

The tour marks the release of her third studio album, Artpop. She’ll be performing until Sunday.

Sunny Afternoon follows the story of the Kinks growing from a north London garage band to taking on US stadium tours.

It’ll be showing at the Harold Pinter Theatre.
