London is best for buffering in the UK, but 4G slower than 2013
5th November 2014

Samuel Johnston, Head of Marketing at OpenSignal, discusses a new report from OpenSignal and consumer group Which?
A new report investigating the service offered by the UK's four mobile phone networks has found big differences in coverage and speeds of 3G and 4G across the country.
The report draws on more than 67 million data readings, crowd sourced from consumers using the OpenSignal app.  It found that London has the best 3G and 4G coverage, while Wales has the worst.
Mobile network Three has the best 3G coverage, with Vodafone users experiencing the poorest. However, Vodafone users enjoy the fastest 4G speeds while Three offer the slowest.
EE has the best 4G coverage. Three has the worst.
The report also found 4G speed in the UK has almost halved in the past 12 months, likely as a result of more people signing up to 4G and using the network.
