GayWise festival draws to a close
19th November 2014

The GayWise festival has been taking place across the capital this month,  showcasing film and art work by the Lesbian, Gay, bi sexual and transgender community.

Niranjan Kamatkar and Subodh Rathod founded the event and explain what it means, not only to them but to the wider community. They chat through some of the work being performed and the worldwide ties to the art on show.

The event began as humble workshops but after from demand from artists to create a platform to showcase for their LGBT work, GayWise, or G-Fest, began. It will run until 22nd November.

The couple were the first same sex Asian couple to marry in the UK, in March of this year. We also hear about their complicated relationship with India.
