Opera Holland Park to become independent
19th November 2014

Opera Holland Park is Britain's only council-run opera company, and now is to set out on its own.

Until now, it's been funded by the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.

Subject to a final approval by the council, they'll cut ties in 2016 with a final grant from the council of up to five million pounds.

The Evening Show's Louise Scodie spoke to Michael Volpe, the General Manager of Opera Holland Park, and James Clutton, its producer.
