'Last resort' NHS strikes in London
24th November 2014

NHS staff who have not received a pay rise in four years and are facing another three years without one staged the strike yesterday.

The pay freeze means on average staff are losing up to £4,000 a year owing to inflation.

Protestors are angry following the 11 per cent pay rises for MPs while they have recieved nothing.

The strikes meant ambulances had to be driven by policemen and those from the army.
