Christmas at L'Atelier in Covent Garden

As Christmas gets closer, restaurants across the capital are changing their menus to entice you in for a festive feast.

It is one of the dozen Robuchon restaurants that are located all over the globe in Paris, New York and Hong Kong.

The owner Joel Robuchon has been named as ‘chef of the century’ and with his restaurants in total earning 25 Michelin Stars.

As Christmas comes around, the restaurant in Covent Garden has created an intricate seven-course menu using traditionally festive ingredients.

The menu includes poached turbot with Champagne sauce and chocolate with poached pear, chestnut and black truffle mousse.

We paid a visit to L'Atelier de Joël Robuchon in Covent Garden is just one of them.

Rosie Birkett discusses more must-visit restaurants in the studio including Kurobuta, which serves Asian fusion food, the London chain Pho, which specialises in Vietmanese cuisine and Pond in Dalston, which serves up something new in the form of Hawaiian food.  World famous chef Ken Hom says the London food scene is like a "tour of Asia."
