English Heritage celebrates English railways, Eurostar announce new destination
11th December 2014

London has done well in a survey of England’s finest stations. English Heritage have listed their favourite railway stations, with Paddington topping the list. However, there’s some controversy over other landmark London station who have been left off the list and train buffs want the list changed.

Simon also talks through the restored travel connections throughout the country, which sees London linking with stations it hasn’t done in many years.

We also hear about the decline of overnight trains but also why Simon thinks that in many instances, train travel is much more refined than flying.

Simon also explains the first major news for Eurostar in twenty years. They have announced new year-round service from London to the Rhône Valley and Provence, terminating at Marseilles.
