Stage-fighting with The Knight of the Burning Pestle
11th December 2014

First performed in 1607, The Knight of the Burning Pestle is one of the earliest comedies to hit the English stage.

It is the first parody play in English and combines wicked humour with a few bloody stage fights.

London Live went behind the scenes at the Globe Theatre to find out exactly how the fighting is done as the play makes a brief return to the stage. The limited run lasts until January 30.
