Crystal Palace in trouble, West Ham on a losing streak, but Arsenal on the up

Simon Rice, online Sports Editor for the Independent and football writer Jim Daly from Crystal Palace fanzine the 5 Year Plan discuss the recent matches.
Chelsea drew 1-1 with Southampton in a controversial match which saw manager Jose Mourinho angry at referee Anthony Taylor for not awarding his side a penalty after Midfielder Cesc Fabregas was allegedly tripped.  Fabregas was booked for diving.

West Ham lost 2-1 to Arsenal in a series of matches which saw Arsenal return to form. Manager Sam Allardyce was unhappy over the match, calling the decision to disallow an early goal by Alex Song “nonsense.”
The Gunners also beat QPR 2-1.
On Boxing day, Crystal Palace lost 3-1 to Southampton. Manager Neil Warnock was later sacked.
There is also discussion over whether Newcastle boss Alan Pardew may really be leaving his side. He has been linked to the Crystal Palace job.
