Lawyers brace themselves for a rise in divorce enquiries

Lawyers are preparing for what is traditionally the busiest day when it comes to divorce enquiries.

According to the law firm Slater and Gordon, the biggest spike in people making appointments will be seen in the first working week of the new year.

A survey found that 22 per cent of London couples say the festive period is ‘make or break time’ for them. With another 57 per cent saying that they hoped Christmas would bring the sparkle back to the relationship.

To speak on this subject further is Priscilla Sim from the charity Relate and Family Lawyer, Lauren Riley.
