Gay couple thrown out of an Uber minicab

A gay couple claim they were thrown out of an Uber minicab in Covent Garden last week after kissing and cuddling each other.

It happened around 8pm last Thursday.

Corey Watts and Jordan Sloan say they were left shocked by the driver's reaction.

The couple asked the driver if they were being thrown out because of their sexual orientation, to which the driver replied, “no, I  pick up gay customers all the time,  but they don’t do that.”

The cab company have now launched an investigation and the driver has since been suspended.
Alison Earle was in Covent Garden where the incident happened.
