Two suspected terrorists shot dead in Belgium

Last night an anti-terror operation in Belgium ended with two suspected jihadists killed and a third arrested.

Police raided an address in Verviers last night, which ended in a shootout. Weapons are said to have been recovered.

London Live’s  Luke Blackall joined the studio to discuss the case with more detail. 

Prosecutor Eric Van Der Sypt said police had targeted a group who had returned from Syria and said they suspected the group had been been planning to launch attacks within hours. 

It was also reported that the suspects initiated the shootout which left the suspected terrorists dead.
