People queue for two days to buy new London housing

People have been queueing to buy the new flats at Chobham Manor for 48 hours.

The sought-after flats are based in the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park, situated between the East Villiage and the Lee Valley VeloPark.

In total 850 homes will be going on sale, with prices varying £375,000 - £675,000.

The company selling the flats, Taylor Wimpey, has given out hot food and put up a marquee as shelter for the people waiting in line to make a purchase.

The hopeful home buyers have been allowed to queue indoors during the daytime, but at night they have had to wait outside.

After two days of waiting day and night, the doors open at 10am this morning.
