Plans to invest £1.6m into tackling FGM set to be unveiled

New plans to tackle FGM in the UK are set to be unveiled today.

The Government measures include £1.6 million being invested in protecting women and girls.

Doctors will also be given powers to flag up those at risk of the procedure.

The plans will be announced at a conference in London marking International Zero Tolerance for the practice.
