What to do this weekend

Hurray! The weekend is finally here! With Valentine's Day tomorrow, the Evening Standard's Going Out Editor Sarah Cohen gives her top tips for the romantic hotspots you should be heading out to.

For those that aren't celebrating,  there's some great anti-romance events to check out too.

Not being a fan of Fifty Shades of Grey, Sarah recommends the charming 'Love Is Strange' instead, which she says shows the real, ever changing nature of love and is a perfect fit for Valentine's Day.

For romantics, Shakespeare in Love is Sarah's top pick on the stage. But for those who've just about had it with love, she recommends Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown. This one is perfect for those who need to get a little bit angry at romance.

For those who don't fancy the theatre but are looking for a remedy to a heartache and loneliness, Sarah says the Broken Hearts And Promises pop-up and Bounce Anti-Valentine’s Party are the perfect places join the fight against the romantics.
