Exclusive: Fictional Ukip documentary airs tonight

A new mockumentary set in a future where Ukip have won the 2015 general election airs tonight on Channel 4.

Ukip: The First 100 Days is presented from the perspective of the party's only female Asian MP, Deepa Kaur, who witnesses mass deportations and watches as neo-Nazis rally behind the party.

Mockumentaries are often funny: this, however, has been described as "chilling" for its uncomfortably realistic portrayal of fictional events, which are made all the more real by actual footage of Nigel Farage spliced in between the acting.

Priyanga Burford, who plays Deepa Kaur, is meant to be the party's humane face. She sat down with London Live's TV editor Toby Earle, who asked her about her character and the potential reaction to how this political earthquake is presented.
