Cloud coverage stops Londoners seeing solar eclipse

Londoners hoping to catch a glimpse of the solar eclipse this morning were left disappointed as thick cloud covered the capital.

Millions turned out across the country to witness Britain enter the twilight zone of a near-total eclipse.

Vanessa Baffoe was at the Royal Observatory in Greenwich where despite the cloudy skies astronomers were eagerly marking the moment.
