Westway Trust hits back at ‘sanitisation’ claims for Portobello redevelopment

Plans to redevelop part of Portobello Road have been met with huge local opposition.

The Westway Trust charity wants to develop what it calls a tired and underused area.

But 15,000 people have signed a petition claiming the move will sanitise the famous vintage market.

London Live's Luke Blackall was there. He spoke to Phil Dibsdale, Senior Planning Consultant for the Westway Trust.
