Brockley parents form pressure group over primary school places

London boroughs received more than 100,000 applications for primary school places this year – a record number of applications for the capital and up 900 from last year.

The growing demand on London schools means that some children missed out on their preferred schools.

Some families from Brockley were so frustrated with not being given any one of their six choices they formed a group to lobby Lewisham Council.
