Street protest held over Sweets Way ‘social cleansing’

Protesters stopped traffic as they campaigned in the streets to raise awareness of what they call "social cleansing" in Barnet.

It comes after a mother of four was evicted from the Sweets Way Estate and given another home, in another part of  the Borough after she appealed against the conditions of her temporary housing.

More than 150 families from the Sweetsway Estate were evicted after the land was sold for development.

The protest took place last night.
