7,000 sign petition to save historic buildings in The Strand

Save Britain's Heritage say 7,000 people are supportig their campaign to stop King's College from demolishing two buildings in the Strand. They say the demolition would "substantially harm one of London's most historic thoroughfares".

The University wants to knock the buildings down to build new facilities and has been granted planning permission by Westminster Council.
