Advertisers more likely to use men than women

New research suggests that advertisers are far more likely to use a male celebrity in their campaigns, than a female. 

The study, by the marketing technology firm Rocket Fuel, suggests the use of real photos over illustrations, and the position of the branding also affects the success of the ad.
