London named the most congested city in Europe

A survey has found that the capital's drivers spent 96 hours, that's 12 working days, stuck in traffic last year.

The most congested stretch of road is the A217 in South London from the Rosehill Roundabout up to New Kings Road.

Second on the list of the continent's busiest cities is Brussels where drivers wasted 74 hours in 2014.

While in the UK the second worst area is Greater Manchester with 52 hours lost.

Rob Clayton is Traffic Analyst at INRIX which carried out the research.
