Disability Tennis Festival

The Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in the Olympic Park was taken over by almost a hundred school children.

It was all part of a disability tennis festival - the second of its kind to be held there.

Around 90 pupils from schools in Newham, Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Waltham Forest took part in a range of games designed to improve their aim and spatial awareness.

The Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre was the only venue specially built for the London 2012 Paralympic Games and hosted all of the wheelchair tennis events.
