Imagine Children's Festival returns to Southbank

The Southbank Centre is being taken over by kids this half term quite literally.

It's all down to the Imagine Festival, an annual event aimed at and run by children.

Around 60 students from local schools were named mini-festival-makers and were given the chance to take on key roles and choose parts of the 11-day programme.

Imagine, which is now in its 15th year, is celebrating the acclaimed author Roald Dahl. Highlights include an interactive experience explaining his life and work and a mass reading of his book Matilda.
