Fighter planes land at Horse Guards

Visitors to Horse Guards Parade were in for a surprise as a fleet of fighter planes landed there.

A Eurofighter Typhoon, Spitfire and Sopwith Snipe were lowered into position with cranes and carefully assembled by a team of experts.

The special display by the RAF Museum is part of a series of events to highlight aviation over the past century, as the Royal Air Force gears up to celebrate its 100th anniversary.
