The Green Party launches a plan for London's housing

Tackling London's housing crisis is at the heart of the Green Party's mayoral manifesto. 

Candidate Sian Berry promised to do more to control rents across the capital as she launched the pledge today.

Th candidate set out plans for a union for renters and has promised to stop the demolition of London housing estates. 

Sian Berry is pledging rent controls in the capital promising to "break the grip" of big developers whilst creating 200 thousand new homes.

This comes as Conservative's Zac Goldsmith pledged to build 50 thousand homes in the next 4 years, while Labour's Sadiq Khan promised 80,000 every year.
