The UK's leading hearing loss charity is urging Londoners with hearing difficulties to tell their doctors about their communication needs.
The campaign comes just weeks before new NHS rules come into force, making sure that disabled patients are given the access to the information they need.
Action on Hearing Loss says 1 in 7 people it had questioned had missed an appointment because they hadn't heard their name in the waiting room, while more than a quarter had left, without understanding their diagnosis.
Dr Roger Wicks is from the charity.
