Guildhall Art Gallery marks communication anniversary

A new exhibition has gone on show at the Guildhall Art Gallery, to mark the 150th anniversary of the transatlantic communications cable.

Connecting Britain with America was a huge step forward in bringing the nations closer together, and some of the prototype devices used at the time have now gone on display.

The exhibition also brings together a mixture of art and culture from the time.
