Mandarin programmes aims for 5,000 fluent speakers by 2020

Five schools across the capital have begun a new programme that hopes to see 5,000 students fluent in Mandarin by2020. The 10 million pound project is supported by a number of institutions, including the British Council. Saint Mary Magdalene Academy in Islington is one of the schools involved.
